This 1959 Morris Mini Minor was one of Simons own project cars. It is one of the first 1,000 minis ever made - the 923rd!

As you can see from the photographs the car was somewhat neglected and came to us in kit form, the engine was in the boot. Along with concrete filler in the A panels and a battery tray made from a road sign it was quite a feat to resurrect it.

The car was rebuilt for the Mini 50 celebrations, being only a bare shell 1 week before! It was an almost 24 hour operation to make it, but it did. You can read the story about it in the Magazine section.
